Qualifications for the Undergraduate Scholarship at KAIST University
The candidate must meet each of the requirements listed below in order to be eligible for the KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship:
• English is the required language.
• All nations in the world are eligible. Candidates who are dual citizens of Korea are not permitted to apply as international students.
• Candidates who have graduated or will graduate from high school before February 28th, 2025, are eligible for the Spring Semester of 2025 (EARLY only).
• Candidates who have graduated or will graduate from high school by August 31st, 2025, for the Fall Semester of 2025.
How Can I Apply for an Undergraduate Scholarship at KAIST University?
To apply for this scholarship, kindly adhere to the following guidelines.
(1) Complete your online application by visiting the official website here.
(2) Use a bank transfer or credit card to pay the application cost (USD 80 or 80,000 KRW).
(3) On the application page, upload scanned copies of the other necessary documents. The uploaded copies must be clear and readable and validated by the head of the organization or the principal of the school.

• Report on the English Proficiency Test.
• National ID or a passport.
• KAIST Scholarship Statement of Financial Resources.

Note: Only one letter of recommendation from a teacher will be taken into account.
• A math/science instructor, homeroom teacher, or academic advisor should write the recommendation letter.
•Either Korean or English should be used for the letter.
•The online application platform must be used to electronically submit recommendations. We will provide your teacher a link to submit your recommendation letter online by the deadline when you have paid the application cost.
To ensure that each recommender receives an automatic email with instructions on how to proceed with their suggestion through the online process, it is crucial that you accurately provide their email address on your online application form.
• After your recommender sends in the letter of recommendation, your application will be finished.
• Hard copies of recommendation letters are not acceptable.
