In order to provide top-notch human resources in the field of STI (Science, Technology, and Innovation) for the future African STI network and beyond, Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology is glad to announce the 2025 E-JUST TICAD8 Scholarship.
Selected candidates’ studies are fully funded by the E-JUST TICAD8 Africa Scholarship, which covers living expenses, tuition, travel expenses, housing, and health insurance.

Details of the 2025 E-JUST TICAD8 Scholarship:
All African students (who are not Egyptian) who wish to pursue a master’s or doctoral degree in engineering or basic and applied sciences are eligible to apply for the E-JUST TICAD8 Scholarship.
The following are the courses available:
- Master of Science in Engineering Programs in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Energy Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Chemicals and Petrochemicals Engineering
- The Institute of Basic and Applied Science’s M.Sc. program in nanoscience, applied and computational mathematics, energy materials, and biotechnology
Qualifications for the E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarship in 2025:
The following requirements must be fulfilled in order to apply for the E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarship:
- Candidates must hold an M.Sc. degree and be researchers or instructors, or they may be expected to become so.
- Applicants must provide a financial declaration, which is a personal statement outlining their financial situation and the reasons they believe they should be awarded the scholarship.
In addition to having a home address and a current location in Africa, the applicant must be a citizen of an African nation, with the exception of Egypt.
- Not enlisted in the armed forces.
- Candidates must meet the requirements for admission and pass the oral exam and interview.
- For programs offered by the Faculty of Engineering (FOE)
o Candidates for the FOE M.Sc. program must have a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a CGPA of at least three out of four, a description that is at least very good, and a classification that is at least second class upper or comparable.
o Candidates for the FOE PhD program should have an M.Sc. (thesis-based) in engineering, relevant to the proposed research topic, and a stellar academic record in the major of the relevant undergraduate program.
• For Programs in the Basic and Applied Sciences (BAS)
o Candidates for the BAS M.Sc. program should have a Bachelor of Science degree in their field of specialization with a CGPA of at least three out of four, a description that is at least very good, and a classification that is at least second class upper or comparable.
o Candidates for BAS PhDs should have a strong academic record in the relevant undergraduate program’s major and an M.Sc. (thesis-based) degree in science related to their proposed research area.
