An 18-year-old disabled youngster receives $1.5 million in scholarships to 45 US universities after graduating from high school with a 4.80 GPA.
Nicholas Watson, an 18-year-old student, received 1.5 million dollars in scholarships to 45 US universities after graduating from Arkansas High School with a 4.80 GPA.
As a graduating student at Arkansas High School, Nicholas Watson set records by achieving the highest GPA since the school’s founding.
At a very young age, Nicholas was diagnosed with both autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). He will never be able to read or understand math, the doctors informed him.
Despite all the obstacles to his health, Nicholas persisted and achieved remarkable academic success. He received accepted to more than 45 colleges and universities nationwide after graduating high school with a 4.80 GPA.
“I wasn’t meant to be here, so I’m just thankful that I have the chance to be where I am now,” Nicholas remarked.
They said that in addition to autism and ADHD, I would never be able to understand, read, or do math. regardless of the situation or the person who defines you. You define who you are,” he continued.
Marian Watson, Nicholas’s mother, stated that she is not shocked by his capacity to overcome challenges because he has always completed tasks quickly.

In addition to being a stellar student, Nicholas excelled in athletics, dominating sports including track, basketball, cross country, and soccer.
He said that he hopes his experience would inspire others to realize that, despite obstacles, they, too, can overcome the odds and achieve everything they set their minds to.
“Just try to overachieve that and go to a goal that you want to achieve, regardless of the limitations or restrictions that you have been given, conditions, or anything that tries to hinder you,” he stated.
Out of the universities where he was accepted, Nicholas stated that he had chosen Harding University to attend on a basketball scholarship. Having completed 64 college credits, he intends to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering.
As a hands-on person, I am. He declared, “I want to work at major companies like Google and Tesla and make electronic devices.”
