The Emile Boutmy Scholarship for 2025–2026 has full funding. Science Po in France is offering this scholarship. Applications are accepted from international students worldwide. This award can be used for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral study. Up to 19,000 euros will be awarded annually through the Emile Boutmy Scholarship.
Social sciences provide the basis of the three-year curriculum offered by undergraduate programs. These programs, which lead to a Bachelor’s degree, are available to students who have earned the Baccalauréat (or its equivalent in another country). The graduate schools at Sciences Po provide two-year programs that culminate in a Master’s degree with a number of professional specializations.

Scholarship Reports
The following advantages will be offered by the Emile Boutmy Scholarship:
Undergraduate: Students starting their first year of study at Sciences Po are given the Emile Boutmy scholarship.
There are various variations of the Emile Boutmy program:
1. A €7,300 annual tuition award for the three years of the undergraduate degree, with an additional €5,000 annual grant to partially offset living expenses.
2. A €7,300 annual tuition grant for the three years of undergraduate study.
3. Three years of undergraduate study with a €5,000 annual tuition grant.
4. A €3,000 annual tuition grant for the three years of the undergraduate degree.
A scholarship of 19,000€ to cover the three years of college may be awarded on an extraordinary basis. The several entrance juries determine the scholarship amounts.
Your scholarship will be revoked if your academic year is not verified.
Scholarships will be forfeited if you choose to postpone admission after receiving one.
Scholarship awardees will keep their tuition fee grant and any additional cost of living grant (if applicable) during their year abroad (third year of undergraduate degree).
Masters:
Students starting their first year of studies at Sciences Po are given the Emile Boutmy scholarship. There are two variations of the Emile Boutmy program:
1. A €10,000 annual stipend to pay for tuition for the two years of the master’s program
2. A €5,000 annual tuition subsidy for the two years of the master’s program.

Qualifications for the Emile Boutmy Scholarship
The applicant must meet each of the requirements listed below in order to be eligible for the Emile Boutmy Scholarship:
English is the required language. Eligible Countries: Every nation on Earth
The following students are ineligible:
• Norwegian and Swiss applicants, as they might qualify for CROUS scholarships
• Applicants with two citizenships, including one from the EU
• Quebec candidates for master’s degrees (because they can benefit from sliding scale costs just like applicants from Europe). Québec residents are entitled to apply for bachelor’s degrees.
• Candidates with dual master’s degrees. Only candidates for the dual degrees listed below are qualified:
- Columbia University’s Journalism Sciences Po combined degree
• Po/Fudan University’s dual degree in sciences with a focus on Europe-Asia in global affairs (available only to Chinese nationals)
• Po/Peking University’s dual degree in sciences (available only to Chinese nationals)
• Students in doctoral programs (thesis)
• Applicants for the one-year Master’s degrees
• Candidates for a bachelor’s dual degree (unless otherwise agreed)
• Applicants using the French graduate admissions process; • Exchange students
• Applicants are unable to apply for both the Emile Boutmy Simple award and the joint award with CSC.
Unless the jury decides otherwise, the Emile Boutmy scholarship cannot be coupled with any other scholarships, such as the Eiffel, AEFE, or BGF.
This scholarship is given out on the basis of merit and the kind of profile that this program is looking for. Additionally, social criteria are considered.
Candidates must express their desire to apply directly in their online bachelor’s or master’s application form; this scholarship is not given out automatically.

1. Students must specify in the “Financial information” part of their Sciences Po application that they are applying for the Emile Boutmy scholarship.
2. Please be aware that we may require applicants to submit documentation of their family circumstances and proof of income (such as both parents’ income tax returns, paystubs, divorce certificates, unemployment insurance, alimony, child support or retirement pension documents, death certificates, etc.).
Before the scholarship application deadline, applicants must additionally attach their language exam, if appropriate.
4. Emile Boutmy scholarships are given out by the Admissions Department. Please be aware that only if you are accepted into one of our approved programs will your scholarship request be considered.
