Applications are now being accepted for the Zeribe Nwosu Foundation’s first Zeribe Nwosu Scholarship (ZNS) in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (ZNS AIDS).
Applications are now being accepted for the Zeribe Nwosu AI and Data Science Scholarship from appropriately qualified individuals who wish to pursue a career in the newest, most in-demand ICT skills in addition to their degrees.
The Zeribe Nwosu AI and Data Science Scholarship will provide successful applicants with ₦150,000 to fund their education in addition to their understanding of AI and data science.
Qualifications for the Zeribe Nwosu AI and Data Scholarship 2025
You need to do the following to be eligible for the Zeribe Nwosu AI and Data Scholarship:
- be in their fourth year of college, or no more than a year after their project defense.
- Attend or have graduated from a private or public university or polytechnic in Nigeria.
You having achieved, on a scale of 1 to 5, a cumulative grade point aggregate (CGPA) of at least 3.5*.
- There are no limitations on the study area.
- *A rough translation of the CGPA to % is allowed for students at universities or polytechnics that use the 4.0 scale. A CGPA of 70%, or 2.8 out of 4.0, will be taken into account.
- Medical students should show proof that they passed the subjects they took in Years 2-3 in addition to their Year 1 scores.
A final CGPA of at least 3.0 on a 5.0 scale, or roughly 60%, is required of those who have graduated.

Successful applicants will receive a cash support grant of ₦150,000 from the Zeribe Nwosu AI and Data Science Scholarship.

Candidates must be prepared to submit the following paperwork in order to apply:
- A one-page personal statement
- A CV (one to two pages) that includes a list of AI/data science tools you have created or utilized.
- One recommendation letter (one to two pages) on formal letterhead
Applicants in years five, six, or graduates should send extra transcripts as applicable.
- Unofficial transcripts of academic records from years one through three.
- A statement of need (minimum of 100 words, maximum of 200 words) outlining your reasons for needing the scholarship.
- A work/practical portfolio that demonstrates your contributions to data science, artificial intelligence, or both.
- Publications, a Github profile, software or apps built, websites or databases established or maintained, etc., might all fall under this category.
- For reference, your portfolio should showcase analytical skills and may include SQL, power BI, Tableau, machine learning, visualization tools, statistics, and programming languages.
- The needed proof of experience can be packaged anyway you see fit.
