Scholarship Reports
Full and partial scholarships are the two categories of scholarships. A full scholarship includes housing, living expenses, tuition, and full health insurance. Tuition and full health insurance are covered via partial scholarships.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible for the Shandong University Scholarship:
• All nations worldwide, with the exception of China, are eligible.
Age and degree requirements:
• When applying for bachelor’s programs, candidates must be under 25 years old, have completed high school, or have an equivalent qualification, and be under 35; for master’s programs, candidates must be under 35 years old, and have a bachelor’s degree or an equal qualification;
Candidates for Ph.D. programs must be under 40 years old and possess a Master’s degree or an equivalent credential.
- Perform exceptionally well academically and possess outstanding scientific research abilities.
- While receiving the SDU Scholarship, the applicant is not eligible to receive any other Chinese government-funded scholarships.
Requirements for language:
For courses that are taught in Chinese:
When applying for bachelor’s programs, candidates must have scored 210 points or higher on the HSK 4 exam; for master’s programs, applicants must have scored 180 points or higher on the HSK 5 exam; and for doctoral programs, applicants must have scored 180 points or higher on the HSK 6 exam.
Native English speakers (U.K., U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia) for English-taught programs.
• To demonstrate their English competence, English speakers must present their IELTS (6.0 or higher), TOEFL (80 points or higher; MyBest Scores are recognized, and the DI code for Shandong University is C296), or other comparable certifications.
• English speakers are exempt from submitting their IELTS or TOEFL results if they have earned the highest degree or diploma from an institution where English is the primary language of teaching. It is necessary to present official documentation attesting to English being the language of teaching.

How Can I Apply for a Scholarship at Shandong University?
To apply for this scholarship, kindly adhere to the following guidelines:
To complete the application, qualified candidates must sign in to the SDU Online Application System for International Students (http://www.apply.sdu.edu.cn). The Shandong University Scholarship for Outstanding International Students electronic application form needs to be completed in either English or Chinese. The applicant must sign the application, scan it, and upload it to the system. Postal applications on paper will not be required.
