Why Students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees at Beijing-area Chinese universities and colleges should be eligible for scholarships that last less than four years.
• Candidates enrolled in Chinese language courses or related postgraduate programs at Beijing-area Chinese institutions and colleges: the scholarship should last less than a year.

Coverage of Hubei Government Scholarships
There are five categories into which Hubei Government Scholarships fall:
The undergraduate scholarship is worth 10,000 RMB annually, the graduate scholarship is worth 15,000 RMB annually, the doctorate scholarship is worth 20,000 RMB annually, the general scholar scholarship is worth 5,000 RMB every six months or 10,000 RMB annually, and the advanced scholar scholarship, which includes visiting scholars, is worth 10,000 RMB every six months or 20,000 annually.
Qualifications for the Hubei Government Scholarship
The candidate must meet each of the requirements listed below in order to be eligible for the Hubei Government Scholarship:
- Required Languages: Each higher education institution has its own requirements for the applicant’s language ability, which are based on the requirements of the academic programs.
- All nations in the world are eligible, with the exception of Chinese nationals.
- Foreign nationals who are favorable toward China and have a valid passport are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must be well-behaved, diligent, have high grades, and be in good health.
- Applicants for undergraduate scholarships must be at least 25 years old and hold a degree equivalent to a Chinese high school diploma.
- Candidates for the Graduate Scholarship must be at least 30 years old and hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates for the Doctorate Scholarship must have earned a master’s degree and be between the ages of 35 and 35 on average.
- All candidates for the General Scholar Scholarship must be between the ages of 40 and 40 on average. Chinese language scholars must have completed high school or higher, professional scholars must have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher, or be enrolled in grade 2 or higher at a university.
Candidates for the Advanced Scholar Scholarship must be at least 50 years old, hold a master’s degree or higher, and hold an associate professor title or above. They must also not be receiving any financial aid from the Chinese government or other institutions.

How Can I Apply for a Scholarship from the Hubei Government?
