Scholarships from the Aga Khan Foundation 2025 (Detailed Procedure)
International students can apply for Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarships to study for master’s and doctoral degrees at any highly regarded university, with the exception of those in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Denmark, Netherlands, Italy, Norway, and Ireland.
In order to develop effective scholars and leaders and to prepare them for employment, mainly within the AKDN, the Aga Khan Foundation offers a limited number of postgraduate scholarships each year to exceptional students from specific developing nations who have no other way to pay for their education. Scholarships are given out once a year in June or July on a 50% grant: 50% loan basis after a competitive application process.
Requests for Master’s level courses are given priority by the Foundation, but applications for PhD programs are only taken into consideration for exceptional students who have received strong recommendations for doctoral studies from their professors and who require a PhD to meet their academic or research-oriented career goals.
Applications from students who have already begun their course of study or for short-term courses are not taken into consideration.
