Oxford University Rhodes Scholarship 2025 (Fully Funded)

Scholarship Reports
The Rhodes Scholarship recipient receives:
• A living allowance of £15,144 year;
• All college and university expenses;
• The student will receive one economy flight to Oxford at the beginning of the scholarship and one economy flight back to their home country at the end of it.
• The application fee to the university;
• The scholarship is awarded for two years, provided that the recipient maintains good academic standing and behavior. For individuals who pursue a recognized path to the DPhil (PhD), the scholarship may be extended for a third year, subject to an application process.
Qualifications for the Rhodes Scholarship
The candidate must meet each of the standards listed below in order to be eligible for the Rhodes Scholarship:
• Residency and citizenship: To be eligible to apply, a candidate must meet the residency and citizenship requirements of the Rhodes constituency. View the list of countries that qualify here.
• Education: By October, all candidates must have earned an honors bachelor’s degree. Additionally, to be admitted to the University of Oxford, which has extremely strict admissions requirements, one must have a good enough academic standing. A GPA of at least 3.75/4.0, or its equivalent, is required in Canada.
- Age: per October 1st of the year after selection, candidates must be at least 18 years old and no older than 28. Age restrictions differ per constituency. The age limit in the majority of constituencies is 24 or 25. Before applying, please carefully review the age restrictions for your constituency. After the selection process, the chosen candidates will come in Oxford in October. Normally, the scholarship cannot be postponed.
• English is the required language.

How Do I Submit a Rhodes Scholarship Application?
In order to apply for a Rhodes Scholarship, please complete these steps:
Documents Needed:
In general, the following resources, in various formats, will be needed by all constituencies:
• A curriculum vitae, resume, or summary of the main tasks. (For this scholarship, please do not put a photo on your resume.)
• Proof of an undergraduate degree’s academic record or transcript (complete or in progress) and any postgraduate coursework
• An essay or personal statement that clearly explains the applicant’s goals and reasons for wanting to study at Oxford
• Proficiency in English, in cases when it is not the primary language. View the criteria here.
- Proof of age, birth certificate, or passport;
• Photograph;
• Four letters of recommendation from appraisers who can attest in private to the applicant’s intelligence and character, including leadership, extracurricular, academic, and personal accomplishments (and who should never include relatives).Detailed Application Procedure:

(2) By the deadline, you must submit your application online together with any necessary supporting documentation.

(4) Those who make the short list will be invited to a final interview and social event. Since there are no exceptions to the date, time, or method of these activities, you must be able to attend both in person. Without an interview, no candidate will be chosen. The Rhodes Trust will cover travel expenses, which will include the round-trip cost of a First Class train ticket, but not lodging costs. It is not possible to finance international travel for attendees from other countries.
(5) The results of each application will be sent to each applicant via email.
Selection Process:
1. Financial ability is not taken into consideration while choosing recipients of the Rhodes Scholarship.
2. Marital status, race, ethnic origin, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, social background, disability, caste, or any other irrelevant characteristic is not taken into consideration when choosing recipients of the Rhodes Scholarship. Although it is optional, providing this information in the application form’s “Outreach” section helps us make sure that our outreach and selection procedures are successful. Those in charge of selection will only see an anonymized summary of these responses’ statistics, which cannot be linked to any specific person.
3. You are applying for a Rhodes Scholarship, which is non-deferable, for admission to the University of Oxford in October 2024.
- Only after being accepted to the University of Oxford is the Rhodes Scholarship confirmed.
5. If a candidate with the necessary qualifications cannot be discovered, no choice will be made.
6. The Selection Committee’s choice is final.Steps to take following selection:

2. Rhodes House, Oxford, will have access to the complete applications of the selected candidates. There, the Scholarship references may be utilized, if suitable, to bolster the selected candidate’s later application to the University of Oxford.
- Successful applicants will be urged to discreetly reveal any particular needs or medical conditions that could necessitate academic or personal assistance at Oxford. In order for Rhodes House to offer appropriate support in Oxford and to facilitate the most seamless transfer to Oxford, this disclosure is completely voluntary.
