Isaac Oluwalana is a bright Nigerian who graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Nigeria with First Class Honours in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering.
He was the university’s top graduating student in the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering and the Faculty of Technology, with an exceptional cumulative grade point average of 4.89 CGPA.
Isaac’s outstanding performance garnered him eight academic accolades, including one departmental award for excellence in Crop Processing and Storage, three departmental awards as the top student, and four faculty awards for best graduating student.
An important turning point in his career was also reached when he was admitted into the esteemed Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
Isaac discussed the difficulties and lessons that influenced his achievement as he looked back on his academic career. He had a clear idea of how his education would proceed eleven years ago, but life had other ideas.
He said, “Delay is not denial,” describing how he waited for his chance for years while observing others progress. Despite obstacles, he accepted the adventure with faith and resolve after realizing that God’s timing was perfect.
Isaac gained priceless knowledge from these encounters. Given that life does not always go as planned and that flexibility is essential, he recognized the value of greatness, tenacity, resilience, compromise, and sacrifice.
Isaac gained the ability to overcome obstacles and persevere in the face of uncertainty. He also learned the importance of delaying pleasure and the strength of persistent work, and ultimately, he changed his perspective to aim for excellence in all he did.
Isaac conveyed his sincere appreciation to God Almighty, his family, friends, and the OAU community for their constant teachings, support, and encouragement. He expressed his optimism for the future and thanked their crucial roles in his path.
“This accomplishment is only the start. I am appreciative of the chance to be a part of a community that is committed to engineering excellence, innovation, and advancement. “I’m excited to help our profession and country grow,” Isaac remarked.
