Mother of three earns a master’s scholarship after graduating as the top student at the University of Cape Coast with a 3.80CGPA in nursing.
With a 3.80 CGPA in nursing, AFRICA, a mother of three, is the University of Cape Coast’s top graduating student and receives a master’s scholarship.
At the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana, Khadijah Abu Seidu, a devoted mother of three from Ghana, has overcome all odds to become the best graduating student in the Bachelor of Science (Midwifery Top-Up) program.
Khadijah was also named the best graduating student in the BSc. Nursing-Top Up, BSc. Midwifery-Top Up, and Diploma in Midwifery programs, with an outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.80.
Her status as a trailblazer in her area was further cemented when she was awarded a scholarship by UCC to pursue a two-year MPhil or MSc degree in Nursing or Midwifery in recognition of her exceptional academic performance.
Khadijah’s result in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) marked the beginning of her path to academic success.
She went back to Tamale after doing exceptionally well on the BECE and enrolled in Ghana Secondary School, where she received an overall score of 17 on the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
She attended Tamale Community Health Nursing School to obtain a Diploma in Midwifery since she was determined to work in the medical field. She continued her studies at the Pantang Nursing and Midwifery Training College from 2019 to 2022.
She eventually enrolled in the top-up BSc. Midwifery degree at the University of Cape Coast as a result of her insatiable curiosity.
Khadijah’s journey as a wife and mother of three was anything from simple. It took a great deal of commitment and sacrifice to balance the demands of marriage, parenting, and academic obligations.
She persevered in her quest for greatness in spite of these obstacles, continuously producing outstanding outcomes.
At the graduation ceremony, Khadijah’s accomplishments at UCC were honored, and she was named the Overall Best Graduating Student in the Diploma in Midwifery, BSc. (Midwifery-Top Up), and BSc. (Nursing-Top Up) programs.
Additionally, Khadijah was the Best Graduating Student in the Center-Based BSc. Midwifery-Top Up program. Her achievements were not overlooked, as evidenced by UCC’s Facebook page showcasing her achievements and announcing her master’s degree scholarship.
