Scholarship Reports
The recipient of the KU Leuven Scholarship receives:
A maximum of 10,000 euros over the course of a year. The precise amount of a scholarship will be determined by the Science@Leuven Fund Board. The scholarship will always pay for one year’s tuition, insurance, and basic health insurance. The amount allotted for living expenses is subject to change.
It’s still a good idea to pack additional cash even if a student receives the full scholarship of 10,000 euros.The majority of the Faculty of Science’s master’s programs last two years. The continuation of the scholarship for the second master’s year is contingent upon the student’s exceptional performance in the first master’s year.

Qualifications for the KU Leuven Scholarship
The candidate must meet each of the requirements listed below in order to be eligible for the KU Leuven Scholarship:
• English (with a minimum TOEFL score of 94 or an IELTS score of 7) is one of the required languages.
• The candidates have never before attended or worked at the University of Leuven.
• The candidates are eligible to apply for the master’s program since they hold a bachelor’s degree from a foreign university.
• The candidates do not currently hold a Ph.D. or master’s degree.
• The candidates can demonstrate outstanding academic performance from their prior training.
The candidates have a significant desire to enroll in KU Leuven’s Faculty of Science master’s program.
• The candidates are open to serving as program ambassadors.
• Students who receive scholarships will be required to sign a contract outlining the terms of acceptance.

How Can I Apply for a Scholarship at KU Leuven?
To be eligible for this scholarship, please take the following actions:
(1) Use the KU Leuven application tool to apply for the master’s program of your choosing. Please carefully read the application instructions.
(2) Using the KU Leuven application tool, upload the following data:
A comprehensive list of all the course titles you have earned credit for. Provide a brief (roughly one half to one page) description of the courses that you believe are most pertinent for the master that you are considering, following the standard guidelines for an ECTS-study guide.
Indicate the course size (in ECTS-credits) and the result you obtained, preferably according to the ECTS-scale; if a different scale is used, please provide a summary explanation on the meaning of the scores.
A letter of motivation for the program;
Two letters of recommendation from professors with international recognition.
(3) A notification confirming the successful submission of your master’s program application will appear on the screen when you have finished and submitted it.
Crucial! Take a picture of this message on your screen. When you apply for the Science@Leuven Scholarship, you will need to upload the screenshot.

(5) After you receive an email acknowledging your registration for the Science@Leuven Scholarship, your registration is complete.

Important Information: Students will only be eligible for the scholarship if they have fulfilled all of the aforementioned requirements!
•After applying to a particular program, you can apply for the scholarship right away; you don’t have to wait to get admitted into the master’s program.
