Every year, overseas students enrolled in the University of Milan’s authorized Master’s degree programs are eligible to apply for the University of Milan Excellence Scholarship.
If you win the scholarship, you will not be required to pay any tuition. Additionally covered by the University of Milan Excellence Scholarship are lodging, a canteen card, and a €8,000 stipend.

Details of the University of Milan Excellence Scholarship:
The University of Milan provides scholarships and tuition price waivers to its international students in keeping with its internationalization objectives to boost incoming mobility and appeal to international students.
Each year, exceptional candidates are given the opportunity to apply for the University of Milan Excellence Scholarships. Applications are open to all first-year students pursuing master’s degrees.
An ad hoc Commission selects “Excellence Scholarships” from among all applicants for admission to Master’s programs by May 31, 2025.
Qualifications for the 2025 University of Milan Excellence Scholarship
You need to be an international student applying to the university’s Masters program, meet the requirements for admission to your program of choice, and apply by May 31, 2025, in order to be eligible for the University of Milan Excellence Scholarship.
The advantages of the 2025 University of Milan Excellence Scholarship
The top international students accepted into Master’s degree programs for the academic year 2025–2026 can take advantage of 155 incentives, including:
- 55 scholarships worth €8,000 each, which entitle the recipients to a waiver of the full tuition charge
- There are 100 exemptions from the full tuition cost.
Under the project UNICORE 6.0, the university offers one scholarship worth €6,000, housing, and a canteen card to candidates who have been accepted into an English-taught Master’s program and are refugees in Kenya, Niger, Nigeria, Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, or Mozambique for the academic year 2025–2026.
