Qualifications for Scholarships at Eastern Mediterranean Universities

The candidate must meet each of the requirements listed below in order to be eligible for an Eastern Mediterranean University scholarship:
English is the required language, and all nations worldwide are eligible.
• New international students and Turkish nationals (separately) who have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree with a CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent are eligible to receive one 100% tuition fee scholarship or two 50% scholarships for each PhD program.

Turkish nationals who enroll in the program for the first time and have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree with a CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent are eligible to receive one 100% scholarship and two 50% scholarships for each master’s degree.

Additionally, a significant number of scholarships with a 50% tuition price are offered to new international students enrolled in master’s programs.

English Language Requirement: Proof of English language proficiency is necessary for all PhD programs (in English and Turkish) and master’s programs taught in English. Your proficiency will be evaluated through an exam at EMU if you do not possess a valid English language qualification that satisfies the requirements of EMU. One of the following will be applicable in light of this assessment:

In addition to graduate program classes, you will take English courses.
• Prior to beginning your graduate program, you will take rigorous English courses (without graduate program courses).
•You will start your postgraduate studies right away and won’t have to participate in the English Language Support Program.

How Can I Apply for a Scholarship at Eastern Mediterranean University?

To be eligible for the Eastern Mediterranean University Scholarship, please take the actions listed below:
(1) Complete the application.
(2) The following is a list of the documents required for the application:
• Attested photocopies of university or comparable institution diplomas (e.g., bachelor’s degree after four years of study). If these documents are in a language other than English, they must be translated into English.
• An official transcript of every course taken at the bachelor’s or master’s degree level. a grade table or comparison mark if the transcript’s CGPA is within 4.00.

Three reference letters (not necessary for EMU graduates).
• Provide information about any grant or scholarship applications you have submitted (attach documents).
• Recording of test and exam results for academic proficiency and English. This does not apply to programs where Turkish is the primary language of teaching. The citizenship and place of birth should be mentioned by native speakers. Documents from any of the English proficiency tests listed below should be submitted by everyone else.
• Provide information about any grants or scholarships you have previously received that are applicable to your time as an EMU student (attach documentation).
• A copy of your ID card or passport.

Statement of Purpose/Intention (please provide on a separate sheet): Why are you applying to the program of your choice? Describe your motivation and the areas of specialization within the discipline that you would find interesting.
• Documents specific to the program: Architecture (Master’s and Ph.D.): Portfolio.
• A passport-sized photo, about 6 cm by 5 cm.
• Proposal (for applicants to PhD programs).
