• After your scholarship has finished, spend at least two years back in your home country.
• By the time you submit your application, you must have finished all requirements for an undergraduate degree that will allow you to enroll in a postgraduate program at a UK university. Depending on your subject and university of choice, this could be different from what is normally equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honors degree in the UK.
- Possess a minimum of two years of work experience, or 2,800 hours.
• By July, you must have applied to three different qualified UK university programs and obtained an unconditional offer from one of them.A Chevening Scholarship is not available to you if you:
• Be a British or dual British citizen (unless you are applying from Hong Kong and are a citizen of a British Overseas Territory or hold BN(O)).
• Be in a non-Chevening qualified nation and have refugee status. Scholarships are available to applicants who are citizens of a nation that qualifies for Chevening and who are refugees in a nation that qualifies for Chevening.
- Work for Her Majesty’s Government as an employee, a former employee, or a relative* of an employee, or have worked for the Association of Commonwealth Universities within the two years since Chevening applications were opened. These organizations include British embassies and high commissions, the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, the Department for International Trade, the Ministry of Defence, and the Home Office.
• Workers, former workers, or family members* of an employee of a Chevening Partner organization may apply; however, if the employment occurred within the last two years, you are not eligible to receive a Chevening Partner Award from the organization you currently work for, have worked for, or are related to.
• Have previously received financial assistance from a UK Government scholarship to study in the UK.
