The Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) Scholars Program for 2025 is now accepting applications.

The NHEF selects gifted young Nigerians from our partner universities who have excelled academically and shown a broad range of interests in their professional and extracurricular activities. It then gives them the rigorous career training and skill-building activities they need to support their long-term professional development.

Nigeria Higher Education Foundation Scholars Program Details:

The NHEF Scholars Program is an early career-accelerating program that provides diverse opportunities to the selected Scholars from our various Partner Universities.

Each Scholar goes through a weeklong orientation program that exposes them to career development training that is pivotal in facilitating an easy transition into the global workforce.

  • University of Nigeria, Nsukka

Eligibility Requirements for 2025 NHEF Scholars Program

To qualify for the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation NHEF Scholars Program, each candidate:

  • must possess a strong commitment to Leadership, Community Service, and Philanthropy, as well as making a lasting impact across the globe.
  • must be in penultimate students at our Partner universities, i.e. 300 Level students studying a 4 year course or 400-level students studying a 5 year course.

The program’s goal is to equip gifted Nigerian students with the knowledge, contacts, and experiences necessary to succeed as professionals and leaders.

  • Fully funded scholarships, internships, paid airfare, lodging, meals, vacation, and networking opportunities with CEOs, MDs, and other powerful men are all provided by the NHEF Scholarship 2025.
  • A carefully chosen team of foreign facilitators provides each scholar with extensive training during the NHEF Scholars Program. After that, the Scholars begin their internships, which usually last six to eight weeks, at our Partner Firms. Additionally, they complete a demanding program that guarantees ongoing professional and personal growth.

 

How to Apply for Scholars Program of the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation:

To apply for the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation Scholars Program in 2025, visit the NHEF website by clicking the icon below.

  • Open the NHEF application portal and log in.
  • Create an account on the portal by entering your phone number, email address, password, and first and last name.
  • Check the inbox of the email address you used to register in order to confirm your email address. Either copy the URL to your web browser or click the link.
  • Use the email address and password you created to log in after your account has been verified.
  • From the dashboard, select the APPLY tab to access the application.
  • Fill out all of the application page’s biodata and program essay questions.
  • A one-page Curriculum Vitae (CV), a one-page Cover Letter, and the most recent Statement of Results (all in PDF format) should be ready for candidates to upload.

Examine application answers, then submit.

  • Note: To make it simpler to copy and paste their answers into the application answer box, we advise interested candidates to have the answers to the application questions already completed on a different document, such as a Word document. This is due to the inability to save the application. Therefore, it needs to be completed and turned in right away.
