AFRICA | A talented Nigerian man receives a UK Chevening scholarship and tuition-free master’s degree.

Through the renowned Chevening Scholarship, a bright Nigerian guy named Itofa Ivarah received a Master’s degree in International Development, Global Affairs, and Management from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom.

The Chevening Scholarship is a highly sought-after opportunity for overseas students since it is a fully-funded program that covers all costs related to studying abroad, including tuition, housing, visa fees, and travel expenses.

Itofa talked about his life-changing experience at the University of Bradford’s School of Peace Studies, Law, and Management when posting his accomplishments on LinkedIn.

He said the curriculum helped him better grasp government, policy analysis, and the issues facing global development.

“My paper emphasized the shortcomings of Milton Friedman’s Corporate Shared Responsibility (CSR) and reaffirmed Michael Porter’s argument for Corporate Shared Value (CSV),” Itofa said.

Itofa used Nigeria as a case study for his dissertation, which examined the effects of foreign aid in developing nations. His study explored the impact of aid on Nigeria’s basic healthcare and education systems, providing perceptive evaluations of its efficacy and ramifications.

Looking back on the previous year, Itofa talked about how his experience influenced his work as an international development expert, highlighting the help he got from his family.

“I’ve been well-prepared for the next stage of my profession during the past year. I am incredibly appreciative of the Chevening Awards’ assistance, my wonderful wife Grace T. Oladipo, and my coworkers who shared this trip with me,” he stated.

Itofa thanked the University of Bradford as well as a number of others who helped make his success possible. “I want to express my gratitude to my instructors for giving me a more comprehensive perspective on development. “Thank you for giving me new wings to fly, Chevening Awards,” he continued.
