After graduating with a 5.00 GPA, a brilliant Nigerian man with a degree in architecture receives a scholarship to study medicine in Russia.
Olalusi Victor is an intelligent Nigerian who earned a scholarship to study medicine in Russia and has a degree in architecture. He graduated from the university with a flawless 5.00 GPA.
Victor graduated from the Federal University of Technology with his first bachelor’s degree in architecture. Renowned for his exceptional academic prowess since high school, he has consistently excelled and achieved notable accomplishments throughout his educational endeavors.
He bagged distinctions in all of the subjects he took in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). He then enrolled in a pre-degree program at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) where he excelled and was the top student, securing admission to the university.
Victor graduated from the university with an amazing 4.60 total grade point and was the recipient of the Dean’s Departmental Award.
However, Victor recognized after graduation that his actual love was medicine which drove him apply to Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun Nigeria to study medicine.
With a total score of 321 out of 400 on the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, he was recognized as Nigeria’s top science student and received the COWBELL/JAMB scholarship award in the faculty of medicine category.
After receiving the best score on the entrance exam, he was later granted admission to Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria to study medicine and surgery.
Victor only attended the institution for four months before the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB) granted him a Federal Government Scholarship to study medicine in Russia under the auspices of the Russian-Nigerian Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA).

According to Risingafrica, he claimed that upon arriving in Russia, he had numerous difficulties. He claimed that in addition to adjusting to a new setting, culture, language, and educational system, he also had to cope with racism, discrimination, and social exclusion from some of his professors and classmates.
He said that in spite of all of these difficulties, he did not allow them to divert him from his objective. forth addition to learning the Russian language and culture, he put forth a lot of effort at work, studied hard, and engaged in class.
For seven years, Victor received a 5.0 grade point in each semester, demonstrating his exceptional performance in every course. He was acknowledged as one of the top students in the faculty and participated in extracurricular activities like volunteering, sports, and music.
He became the only person in history to earn a perfect 5.00 grade point average when he graduated as a medical doctor. In 2013, he was the top graduating student in the entire Russian Federation.
Numerous institutes and organizations have also recognized Victor for his exceptional accomplishments.
In addition to praise from the Nigerian Medical Association, the Russian Embassy, the Ondo State Government, and the FUTA Alumni Association, he was given an award by the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja.
