Scholarship Reports
The following advantages are offered to the winner of an ACI Foundation scholarship or fellowship:
• A $10,000 to $15,000 US educational stipend for books, materials, tuition, and housing;
• Covered travel costs and attendance fees at two ACI conventions (fellowship finalists must attend the Spring ACI Convention in order to be interviewed, where they may be given a Convention Guide);
• Help in locating a mentor in the industry.
Qualifications for the ACI Foundation Scholarship
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements in order to be eligible for the ACI Foundation Scholarship:
• English is the Required Language
A written statement attesting to your ability in English must be included with your application if it is not your first language.
• All nations in the world are eligible.
• Anyone in the world is eligible to receive an ACI Foundation Fellowship, but you have to be enrolled at a Gulf Cooperation Council university (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates) during the award year.
• International students are eligible to receive ACI Foundation fellowships, but they must be enrolled at an American or Canadian university during the award period.In the summer of 2024, the recipient of some of the fellowships is expected to finish a 10- to 12-week internship.
- The Scholarship Council will interview the selected candidates for an ACI Foundation fellowship on Sunday, March 27, 2024, at the spring ACI Concrete Convention. The selected candidates will be notified by February 4, 2024.
• All applicants must be fluent in English, and the ACI Foundation will cover the cost of the airline, lodging, registration, and travel stipend. You can include a copy of your TOEFL results to your application if English is not your first language. This is not necessary; it is optional. - To cover costs for tuition, lodging and board, books, student fees, and other expenditures, the educational stipend is sent to the student directly in two equal installments over the course of a year.
• Fellowship awardees are expected to submit a written report near the end of their fellowship period explaining the value of the fellowship to their personal development and to their preparation for their chosen career after graduation.
• Stipends are contingent upon attendance at scheduled ACI Concrete Conventions during the award cycle.
