A young African woman receives the Best Student Award after graduating with a 94% grade in economics.
Ayobola Makinde, a bright Nigerian woman, received the School of Science and Technology’s top graduating student award after achieving an exceptional 4.74 grade points out of a potential 5.00 CGPA.
Ayobola Makinde graduated with a first-class Bachelor of Agricultural Economics degree from Babcock University in South-West Nigeria with a 4.74 grade (94.4%). On LinkedIn, she celebrated and shared her accomplishment.
She claimed that because she only experienced a few restless nights while in school, God was the reason behind her accomplishments. “The achievement story is different from many others in its category, which is why I say this,” she said.

The only thing I had and still have is God’s grace, she continued. “Until my last year, I had very few stories of sleepless nights, or endless study or library visits.” Ayobola went on to say that she began reading the week before the tests, exactly like all the other students in the school.
The week before tests, or even the night before, I went to class, took notes, and began reading, yet God still brought me to this point, she said.
She cautions aspiring students to set their own course for success and to constantly aim higher. “Spirit for greater things! You can accomplish so much more,” she remarked.

On LinkedIn, the young Nigerian, Ifeanyi, shared his success with his mother, stating that she had put in a lot of effort to make sure her kids were successful.
