A talented Nigerian man is accepted to Saint Louis University after winning a scholarship to study in the US, UK, and China.
Kenneth Okonkwo, a gifted Nigerian, has received four different scholarship offers to study in China, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Kenneth, a soil scientist, graduated from the Federal University of Technology in Owerri, South-East Nigeria, with a bachelor’s degree. Despite not having a Master’s degree, his genius landed him four fully paid PhD scholarships.
Kenneth shared his remarkable academic achievement on LinkedIn, stating that he received scholarships from the University of Texas and Saint Louis University in Missouri in the United States in addition to the renowned Chevening Scholarship in the United Kingdom.
The United Kingdom Chevening Scholarship is a yearly award Masters scholarship award sponsored by the UK government to allow international students to study in the UK. Applications for the scholarship is currently online – details can be read HERE – and it is expected to close by the 14th of November 2022.
In addition, Kenneth mentioned that he was awarded the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents, which would have allowed him to study in China, but he chose to accept the opportunity to attend Saint Louis University in Missouri, USA.

He continued, “I’m excited to announce that I’ve begun my PhD studies in Biological Sciences at Saint Louis University, Missouri, USA.”.
“As a Graduate Research Assistant at the Miller Lab at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center which is the biggest Plant Science in the World,” he said, he will be employed by the organization.
