A bright Nigerian student who left UNILAG to study in South Korea is happy to have started an internship as a software engineer at Microsoft.
Microsoft in the USA has employed a bright Nigerian student who left his Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Nigeria, to study in South Korea as an intern Software Engineer.
In 2018, Ifeoluwakolopin Are, a young kid, was accepted to study mechanical engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Nigeria. However, after being accepted to Minerva University in the United States of America, he left his acceptance.
Therefore, Ifeoluwakolopin traveled to South Korea to study as a new student at the university’s Department of Computer Science.
Ifeoluwakolopin received a tremendous offer from Microsoft in Washington, DC, USA, to work as a software engineer intern after finishing the second semester of his first year in South Korea. Outstanding undergraduate and graduate students can apply for internships with Microsoft, one of the top technological corporations in the world.
Ifeoluwakolpin celebrated his accomplishment, looked back on his time in South Korea, and said he was excited to learn at Microsoft.
He posted on Linkedin, “I had the opportunity to spend the last four months meeting new people, exploring beautiful places in Seoul, and immersing myself in a different culture.”
He also revealed that he will be opportune to complete his study at Minerva University, USA obtaining knowledge and classroom experience in 6 different cities around the world.
