A 23-year-old woman makes her mother proud by graduating from New York University.
Ming Lee Simmons, a woman of 23 years old, graduated from New York University with a degree in Fashion Business and Consumer Behavior.
American fashion model Ming Lee Simmons graduated from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individual Studies with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Business and Consumer Behavior.
In an interview with Essence, Ming said she was happy to have finished school despite the several obstacles she faced, with the COVID-19 pandemic being one of the main ones.
She remarked, “I think it just feels really good to be done. Our whole generation had a really hard time because it was COVID, and everything got shut down and everything moved online.”

Ming’s mother, Kimora Lee Simmons, a fashion stylist and well-known American business magnate, celebrated her daughter on Instagram and expressed her pride in Ming’s accomplishments.
“We succeeded! My very first child graduated from college! It has been a journey and a labor of love, but you succeeded, NYU #ClassOf2023. Mama is soooo proud of you,” she captioned the post.
Ming mentioned that she would be following in the footsteps of her mother, by venturing into the Fashion industry as she had always had a passion for it. She added that she will start by working for her mother before creating a brand for herself.

“I studied fashion in school, and I really, really love working with my mom, so I’m gonna start there,” Ming said. ”Hopefully, in the future, I will be doing something with my own fashion brand and just kind of staying around the fashion world because that’s what makes me really happy,” she added.
