Conditions for the Alex Otti Foundation Scholarship
Candidates for the Alex Otti Foundation Scholarship must be enrolled in any government-owned postsecondary institution in Nigeria and be in their second year (200 Level).
• In his or her first academic session, or first year, the candidate must have had a minimum CGPA of 3.5 for universities (or its equivalent for other tertiary institutions).
• Current Alex Otti Foundation scholars’ siblings—that is, children with the same parents—are not eligible and won’t be until their sibling’s current scholarship has completed its entire term.
Required Records for the Scholarship from the Alex Otti Foundation
The following paperwork is required in order to process your application.
- Candidates must provide a declaration of results for the first academic session, or first year, signed by the administrative officer of the department or faculty, who is legally the registrar’s representative.
- To demonstrate that they now reside in Abia State, candidates must show a letter of recognition from the head of their community or religious organization or a three-month power utility bill.
- Candidates are required to submit a 1,200-word essay that is divided into three sections and tells us:
o (a) their nuclear family and how they place themselves within it;
o (b) a period of time when they were a part of a community and the contributions they made to it; and
o (c) their thoughts on giving back to society.
