Details of the University of Ghana TDR Scholarship:
For the 2025–2026 academic year, the University of Ghana School of Public Health is accepting applications for the TDR Postgraduate Scholarship in Implementation Research.
A Master of Public Health or Master of Science in Applied Health Social Science with an emphasis on Implementation Research (IR) to solve significant global health issues is supported by the fully funded University of Ghana TDR Scholarship.
TDR, the UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, is providing funding for these full scholarships.
The WHO African Region’s low- and middle-income nations are the only ones eligible to apply.
Scholarship for TDR Postgraduate Study 2025 Conditions:
In order to be eligible for the TDR Postgraduate Scholarship, you need to:
• Be a citizen or resident of a low- or middle-income nation (as defined by the US government).
• Be under 35 years old at the time of application;
• Meet the standard requirements for admission to the University of Ghana for local or international graduate students;
• Have a strong interest in pursuing a career in implementation research on infectious diseases of poverty;
• Speak English fluently;
• Show that you can obtain study leave from your job, if applicable, prior to the start of the program; and
• Consent to fulfill health requirements in accordance with University of Ghana and Government of Ghana regulations.

The University of Ghana TDR Scholarship pays for round-trip airfare to Accra, Ghana, from your home country.

Only those applicants that have been shortlisted will be called for an interview and subsequent evaluation. The University of Ghana will send a letter of offer to the chosen applicants, who will then have seven (7) calendar days to confirm their acceptance. It will be presumed that the student is unable to accept the scholarship beyond this date. If the application contains any fraudulent information, the University of Ghana retains the right to reject it or stop awarding the scholarship.

Step Three (3): Click the URL (https://apply.ug.edu.gh/admissions/tdr) after completing the first two steps. Apply for the TDR Postgraduate Scholarship in Implementation Research by creating an account. Make sure to choose the Msc. Applied Health Social Science or the Master of Public Health (Social and Behavioral Science). Before submitting, fill out all the fields and upload the necessary files.
Candidates will only be considered further if they have finished all three steps.
