An African soldier, age 35, packs honors accomplishments and awards two medical bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Malita Kasongo, a 35-year-old African soldier, graduated from the University of Zambia in Lusaka, Zambia, with three degrees, including a bachelor’s and master’s in medicine.
Malita Kasongo, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Zambia Army, graduated from the University of Zambia in Lusaka, Zambia, with a first bachelor’s degree in human biology and a second bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery.

Lt. Col. Malita celebrated her accomplishment on LinkedIn after earning a Master of Medicine degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the same University of Zambia.
She said that she had faith in her skills and used perseverance and determination to work hard to obtain the master’s degree. According to L. Col. Malita, she enjoys the military’s tradition, discipline, and order.
Lt. Col. Malita has been an active member of the Zambia Army for seven years and has received multiple promotions. She maintained her aim of becoming a doctor of obstetrics and gynecology even though she held a high rank in the army.
She stated that she had been a medical professional for more than nine years on her LinkedIn profile. Lt. Col. Malita went on to say that she loves every part of her work and has a variety of experience as a military doctor, obstetrician-gynecologist, and occupational health specialist for a football club.
“So I’m busy with occupational health when I’m not doing my military duties, delivering babies, or taking care of the soccer players,” she stated.
She claimed that the publicity has improved her enthusiasm, experience, leadership abilities, and character, all of which have aided in her personal development. Colonel Malita stated that while she embodies the concept of “determination,” she also places a high value on preserving a positive work-life balance.
