AFRICA | A remarkable Nigerian woman with a 5.00/5.00 CGPA in Aerospace Engineering is named ABUAD’s top graduating student, and she celebrates her achievement.
Ogunlana Abiodun Omolara, a remarkable Nigerian woman, earned a perfect 5.00 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) and an Aerospace Engineering degree from Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD).
Abiodun’s exceptional achievement won her the title of ABUAD’s 2024 class’s overall best-graduating student. She posted about her victory on Instagram, expressing her sincere thanks to God and her satisfaction in her accomplishments.

Abiodun was inducted as a Graduate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (GMNSE) and was the top graduating student in her department.
“I genuinely won’t get this degree without any one of you,” Abiodun said, thanking her parents, relatives, and friends for their contributions to her accomplishment. “This degree is evidence of God’s goodness,” she stated.
In a different narrative, Yusuf Imoitesemeh Aminat, a bright Nigerian woman, shattered the 40-year-old record of Lagos State University (LASU), Nigeria, by becoming the best-graduating student overall and earning a perfect 5.00 cumulative grade point average.
Yusuf Aminat was the top student of the 2021–2022 academic year after graduating with the highest grade point average from Lagos State University’s Faculty of Law in Nigeria.
