After Nigeria’s educational system was shut down, Chinemerem Timothy Diala, a young Nigerian student, was accepted into six American universities.
Affected by the ongoing ASUU strike, Chinemerem Timothy Diala is a biology 200-level student at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), in Nigeria, West Africa.
Diala, who is passionate about medical education, wants to have a significant impact on the healthcare sector and make a significant contribution to the advancement of health equity.

With partial financial scholarships, Diala was accepted to the following universities: Middle Tennessee State University, Clemson University South Carolina, University of Akron, Ohio; University of Colorado, Denver; University of Mary, Washington, DC; University of Nebraska, Lincoln; and University of Akron, Ohio.
