A 16-year-old Nigerian girl receives $340,000 in scholarships to US universities after receiving 9As in WAEC and 345 in JAMB.
A 16-year-old Nigerian girl named Chioma Opara has accomplished a remarkable achievement. She received scholarships worth $340,000 to two foreign institutions after receiving an amazing 345/400 on the JAMB exam and straight As on the WAEC exam.
Born in Imo State, Chioma Opara is the eldest of her parents’ four children. As a high school final-class student, she received two scholarships to universities in the United States and Canada for her outstanding achievement on two of her major exams.
Chioma had a perfect score. She received 345 out of 400 points on the United Tertiary Matriculation Examination and distinction in every subject she took the West African Examinations Council.

Since her early years, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional academic ability. When Chioma was eight years old, she started high school.
According to State Post, Chioma won every award, job, and certification related to the internal and external exams she took.
Using Nigerian and British curricula, she participated in the Nigerian Tulip International Colleges’ Annual National Mathematics Competition (ANMC), a 21st-century educational center devoted to the advancement of primary through secondary education.
Nigerian Turkish International College (NTIC) awarded Chioma a 100% scholarship to her girls’ section in 2016 for her exceptional performance, starting a new chapter in her academic career.
Chioma competed in both local and international events while attending Nigerian Tulip International Colleges, winning prizes in the majority of them. She received multiple medals and accolades during the 2022–2023 school year and graduated first in her class.
