This young Nigerian woman, whose mother sells food to pay for her education, makes her proud after graduating from college.
After graduating from a polytechnic in Nigeria, West Africa, a young Nigerian woman named Oluwadamilola Rodiat Ayankunbi has made her illiterate mother pleased.
Despite coming from a low-income family, Oluwadimola was able to graduate with her mother’s support, as she raises money for her schooling by selling food in a market.

Oludamilola Rodiat recounted a joyous moment with her mother, who sells bean cake (known locally as akara), to celebrate her accomplishment. Her mother could be seen writing “Iya Alakara” on her daughter’s white robe in the posted footage.
A National Diploma in Mass Communication was obtained by Oluwadamilola Rodiat. She explained that she had always wanted to work hard to make her family happy since she was a young child. She wrote on Instagram, “I doubled my hustle and made handwork my watchword after realizing I wasn’t born with a silver spoon.”
In a different tale, Priscilla Akwagu, a resolute young woman, became one of the top graduates of the University of Education Winneba, Ghana in 2021 after selling food on the streets to raise money for her studies.
Regardless of her current situation, Priscilla Akwagu, who earned a bachelor’s degree in education, made education a top priority in her life. “You stand out when you can switch between hustling and slaying when needed,” she remarked on Facebook.
Adom Ara Kwa, a male, shared her tale on social media, saying that they had the opportunity to make her smile for accomplishing such a remarkable achievement.
