Durham University Hatfield Lioness Scholarship 2025 Details:
The Lioness Scholarship is given by Hatfield College to a person who possesses the academic and character traits necessary to finish and gain from a postgraduate program.
The Hatfield Lioness Scholarship is intended to help a female student from a developing nation with limited access to higher education pursue postgraduate studies at Durham University.
The scholarship, which was established in 2018 as part of Hatfield College’s celebration of 30 years of female students at Durham University, is supported by alumni, friends of the college, and other sources that share its goals.
Requirements of 2025 Durham University Hatfield Lioness Scholarship:
To be considered for the 2025 Hatfield Lioness Scholarship at Durham University:
• Applicants must have applied for and been offered an unconditional place on their chosen master’s programme by June 2025.
• Applicants must not be in receipt of any other scholarship to fund their postgraduate studies.
• Applicants must be female.
• Applicants must be a national of a developing countries as stated on the application page.
Applicants should:
• hold a relevant honours degree of sufficient standard to be admitted to your chosen Master’s course ; and
• have all other course entry requirements including the relevant English language qualification;
• not hold a Master’s degree; and
• not otherwise have the financial means to study for a Master’s degree in the UK
The 2025 Hatfield Lioness Scholarship’s advantages
The scholarship will pay for:
• One return economy ticket from the home country to the UK, as well as the cost of returning transit between the UK airport and Durham City;
• Full payment of university tuition costs;
• Living expenses stipend
• “Settling in allowance” upon arrival;
• Fully funded, self-catered, mixed housing at Hatfield College;
• UK visa fees and the UK Health premium
•The scholarship only covers the scholarship holder’s lodging; dependents cannot be accommodated. It also does not cover travel expenses or other expenses.
