Details of the 2025 Einstein Fellowship Program
By providing young researchers with the opportunity to conduct research outside of their previous field of expertise, the Albert Einstein Fellowship fosters innovative, interdisciplinary thinking.
Since 2010, the Einstein Forum and the Daimler and Benz Foundation have jointly awarded the fellowship, which was formerly given out by the Einstein Forum and the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius (2007–2009).
The fellowship’s goal is to encourage those who, like Albert Einstein, are not only making excellent work in their field of expertise but are also receptive to different, interdisciplinary perspectives.

Conditions for the 2025 Einstein Fellowship Program
You must be under 35 to be eligible for the 2025 Einstein Fellowship Program.
- Possess a degree from an academic institution in the scientific sciences, social sciences, or humanities.
- At the conclusion of the fellowship period, be prepared to present your project in a public lecture at the Wittenstein Foundation and the Einstein Forum.
- Must exhibit the applicant’s exceptional intellectual growth in addition to the project’s quality, uniqueness, and viability.
- The suggested project may serve as the start of a larger effort and need not be finished in its entirety during the fellowship period.
- The fellow will be required to give a public presentation of their project at the Wittenstein Foundation and Einstein Forum at the conclusion of the fellowship time.Applications for the Einstein Fellowship are not meant for students who want to finish an academic project they have already started.
Advantages of the 2025 Einstein Fellowship Program
- The Einstein Fellowship covers five to six months of lodging in Einstein’s own summerhouse’s garden cottage in Caputh, Brandenbur.In addition to reimbursement for travel expenses, the fellow will receive a stipend of EUR 10,000.
