In addition to being an associate professor at Langston University, Shania’s mother, Atashia Muhammad, was present to give her daughter her certificate. Shania characterized it as a unique moment.

She claims that before to going to college, her parents homeschooled her. Shania was inspired by the two to see beyond her studies in middle school.

Shania urged students to not allow their age to limit their potential, pointing out that she accomplished her goals at the age of 14 by pushing herself to do more difficult things.

“I truly want to push you to reach your full potential, so don’t allow your age be the limit. That cannot be an obstacle in your life. Shania remarked, “It’s like I was in the seventh grade and I just didn’t know it the entire time I was on the collegiate level.”

Shania intends to continue her education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in family consumer science at Langston University, one of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
