AMERICA | A young African-American man celebrates success as the outcome of perseverance after earning an MBA from a US university.
In the United States, Reginald Dominique, a young African-American man, graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Reginald shares his accomplishments on LinkedIn, seeing it as evidence of his determination to keep going after his dreams. “My academic journey reflects my unwavering determination in life,” he said.

Reginald claimed that he is carrying on the tradition of greatness that has been maintained since 1865 with this accomplishment.
He pointed out that Atlanta University, which is now Clark Atlanta University, was the first HBCU in the US South and the first HBCU in the country to provide graduate degrees to African Americans.
“I’m thrilled to continue this tradition and honored to be a part of this historic journey,” he remarked. He outlined his accomplishments and honors while attending Clark Atlanta University.
Reginald won first place in the Stellantis North America Graduate Minority Business Case Competition and was a member of the National Black MBA Association.
In addition, he placed second in the 19th Annual KeyBank & Ohio State University MBA Student Case Competition and was a member of the National Black MBA Association HBCU Scholar Cohort for 2022–2023.
Reginald was also awarded a number of prizes, such as the First Year Graduate Student Scholarship, the Delta Air Lines Award for Excellence Scholarship, the William F. Packard Scholarship, and the university’s General Endowment Scholarship. Reginald joined Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. as well.
Reginald claimed that with perseverance and hard work, he finished the demanding Working Professional MBA program in just 18 months, passing 25 classes.
When Reginald thought back on his accomplishment, he thought of Barack Obama’s statement: “To never give up is to defy the odds, for perseverance is the key to unlocking every door.”
He underlined that his graduation is a tribute to the strength of tenacity and fortitude as well as the conclusion of his academic achievements. He thanked everyone who helped him along the way, especially his friends and family, for supporting him through the difficult times.
He also expressed gratitude to the administration, teachers, and staff of Clark Atlanta University and the School of Business for setting an example and living according to the school’s motto, “Find a Way or Make One.”
Reginald graduated from Texas Southern University in the United States with a bachelor’s degree in radio, film, and broadcasting.
