A young African woman named Matilda Akayesi was granted a scholarship to pursue her master’s degree at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom and was admitted to the Ghana Bar as a lawyer.
Before continuing on to the Ghana School of Law, where she was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, Matilda earned her bachelor’s degree in law from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana.
On Linkedin, she announced that she had been called to the bar as a lawyer and that she had enrolled at the esteemed University of Oxford in England to pursue a master’s degree in law.
For her master’s degree, Matilda received a full scholarship from the Africa Oxford Initiative. She added that she received the Keith Murray Graduate Scholarship from Lincoln College, University of Oxford.
Additionally, Matilda received the Supperstone Law Scholarship, which is typically given to just one individual each year. She thanked her family and friends, saying that without them, her accomplishment would not have been possible.
She also expressed gratitude to her pals and her sister for reading her application essay drafts. She expressed gratitude to God for all of the help she got from the wonderful individuals He put in her life.
According to Matilda, she is excited and anxious to see what the future holds as she embarks on an enriching year at Oxford University.
