Erasmus University Rotterdam’s ISS Scholarship Fund for Outstanding Students 2025
International students from all over the world who wish to pursue master’s degrees at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands, for the academic year 2025–2026 are eligible to apply for the ISS Scholarship Fund for Excellent Students. Forty percent of the tuition is covered by the ISS Scholarship Fund for Excellent Students.
The majority of students that attend ISS do so on a full or partial scholarship. They have developed a scholarship database and aggregated all of the scholarships offered by country to assist you in locating suitable funds for your education. A list of possible financing opportunities will be generated once you select your country of origin.

Seven schools, two institutes, and a university college with its own administration make up Erasmus University Rotterdam. This fund was created by the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) to help deserving students who are unable to get any other kind of financial aid.

Qualifications for the ISS Scholarship Fund for Outstanding Students
Candidates must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the ISS Scholarship Fund for Excellent Students:
English is the required language, and all nations worldwide are eligible.
• You have a letter of admission from ISS;
• You have relevant work experience, a first-class or upper-second degree in a social science, and a strong desire to study at ISS;
• You are a recent graduate with a first-class degree in a social science and a strong desire to study at ISS;
• You wish to enroll in ISS’s Master of Arts in Development Studies program.
How Can Excellent Students Apply for the ISS Scholarship Fund?
To apply for the ISS Scholarship Fund for Excellent Students, please adhere to the guidelines below:
- Send an email to studentoffice@iss.nl, the ISS student office, with your request.
- Give a brief explanation of how a cost decrease will increase your chances of attending ISS to study:
- A one-page motivation statement that explains why you ought to receive this fund.
- Comprehensive financial data, including corroborating bank statements, to demonstrate your capacity to pay the outstanding balance of your tuition, living expenses, and health insurance.
Note: The scholarship distribution decisions are made continuously. The student office will notify the students who have been chosen for the scholarship bursaries.
