Arab students interested in pursuing undergraduate studies at Harvard University in the United States are encouraged to apply for the HAAA Scholarship. To further its objective of increasing the number of Arab students at Harvard, the Harvard Arab Alumni Association (HAAA) established the HAAA Scholarship Fund in 2010, the first of its type at Harvard.
Only 118 students from Arab countries attended Harvard in 2013, making up less than 2% of the university’s 4,000 international students. Today, the Arab world makes up a very small portion of Harvard’s student body. The objective is to generate $10 million to support economically disadvantaged Arab students accepted into any Harvard school.

Qualifications for the HAAA Scholarship
The Harvard Committee on General Scholarship will solely choose the recipients of the HAAA Scholarships using the standards set out by the Harvard Arab Alumni Association:

How Can I Apply for a Scholarship Through HAAA?

1. Apply to any Harvard University school; step two won’t begin until you’ve been accepted.
2. Your school’s financial officer sends your application to the Harvard Committee on General Scholarships, which makes the final decision about the recipient. Applying to the HAAA is not required.
