78 Nigerians are awarded Federal Government BEA Scholarships to study in Russia.
Through the Russia-Nigeria Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA), 78 Nigerians have been granted the Federal Government’s Fully Funded Scholarship Award to pursue several degrees in Russia.
Implementing scholarship awards between the Federal Government of Nigeria and the governments of nations that have signed a bilateral education agreement (BEA) with Nigeria is the primary responsibility of the Nigeria Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA), a division of the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB).

Eighty-eight Nigerians have been flown to Russia to study a variety of courses at Russian universities under the terms of the Russia-Nigeria Bilateral Education Agreement.
The students who are enrolled in the 2020–2021 academic year scholarship arrived at Vnukovo International Airport on December 6, 2021, to begin their studies in Russia, according to a statement released by the Nigerian Embassy in Russia.
According to the announcement, the scholars will receive training in a variety of fields, including general medicine, chemical technology, nuclear physics and technology, aeronautic engineering, mechatronics and robotics, nanotechnology, and microsystems engineering.
The statement added that Russia has consistently upheld its strong bilateral ties with the Federal Republic of Nigeria and has offered several scholarship opportunities for Nigerian professionals to educate in various sectors since the Soviet era.
Each year, a number of scholarships are awarded to worthy Nigerian scholars by the Federal Scholarship Board’s (FSB) Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Division.
