- Be accepted into a Master’s program at the Graduate School of Public Health (GSPH), Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA), School of Law, School of Education, or School of Nursing (starting in the academic year for which they are applying for the Heinz Fellowship).
- Candidates need to have earned a bachelor’s degree from an institution.
- Candidates must be fluent in English, both in reading and writing.
- Candidates that are in the early or mid-stages of their careers will be given preference.
- People working in the practitioner and policy domains are the target audience for the fellowship. Basic academic research, academic sabbaticals, and medical research are not eligible for this prize.
