Details of University of Malta Scholarships:
The University of Malta aims to draw exceptional students from non-EU/EEA nations whose financial situation may prevent them from enrolling in the university’s Master by Research and Ph.D. programs.
Deserving students will receive waivers of up to 100% of their tuition fees. Bench fees for certain programmes may still apply. The fee waiver will be in effect for the regular length of time that the program is being followed. If extensions of the period of study are required, these may not necessarily be eligible for a fee waiver.
Qualifications for 2025 University of Malta Scholarships:
To be eligible for the University of Malta Postgraduate Scholarships, you must:
- have been accepted unconditionally to read for a Master by research or a Ph.D. on a full-time and part-time basis
- submit a request to be considered for a fee waiver by sending an email to the International Office

- Deserving students will get tuition price waivers of up to 100%.
- The fee waiver will be in effect for the whole duration of the program.
- Extensions of the study term may not always qualify for a fee waiver if they are necessary.

How to Apply for Scholarships at the University of Malta in 2025:
Interested and eligible candidates should:
- Click the “CLICK HERE TO APPLY” button to access the application page for the 2025 University of Malta Scholarship.
- First, apply for admission to a Master’s or PhD degree at the University of Malta.
- Accept the offer of admission and proceed to apply for the scholarship.
- Requests are to be submitted within one month of receipt of the unconditional letter of acceptance (i.e within one month of Jan 31, May 31, and Oct., 31).
- Candidates that meet the necessary eligibility requirements will be invited to attend an online interview with the Ph.D. and Masters (by research) Degree Scholarship Selection Board.
