Through the Green Futures Postgraduate Taught Scholarship, students from low- and lower-middle-income nations can study at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom with a complete tuition fee waiver and a living expenses stipend.

Details of the University of Exeter Green Futures Scholarship:
One “Green Futures” Postgraduate Taught Scholarship is available for study in 2025–2026 on one of our qualified master’s programs.
We are looking for outstanding international applicants who will broaden the diversity and inclusivity of our university community and who otherwise would not be able to pursue their academic and professional aspirations in sustainability.
The following full-time, one-year postgraduate teaching degrees in our Faculty of Environment, Science, and Economy are eligible for the scholarship.
Qualifications for the 2025 University of Exeter Scholarship in the UK
In order to be eligible for the University of Exeter Scholarship, you must:
- be a citizen or passport holder of a Low or Lower Middle Income country (eligible countries are listed in the first three columns of this table);
- already have an offer to enroll in an eligible Masters program from the table above at the University of Exeter for the 2025–2026 academic year (September 2025 entry);
- have earned, or anticipate earning, the equivalent of a UK first in your undergraduate degree (for more information, see our Entry Requirements pages); and
- have never studied or worked in a High Income country.
Please visit our postgraduate taught study pages if you have not yet applied for a master’s program. It is recommended that you apply for the program by March 29, 2025, at the latest.

How to Apply for the 2025 University of Exeter Green Futures Scholarship (Step by Step)
Interested and eligible applicants can apply for the University of Exeter Green Futures Scholarship by visiting the program’s website by clicking the icon below.
- Submit an application to the University of Exeter for admission to a Master’s program.
- Once you receive your offer, please fill out the form here to apply for one of these scholarships.
- The form must include a personal statement (no more than 500 words) answering the following questions:
o What interests you about the kind of study you have chosen, and how does it relate to a green future in your nation?
o How have you so far explored your interest, both alone and in collaboration with others, to aid in the development and sustainability activities and projects in your nation of origin?
o How will a Green Futures Scholarship help you achieve your goals and make a contribution while you are a student at the University of Exeter?
o How will you maintain ties to the University of Exeter and what are your post-graduation goals?
Applications for this fellowship must be submitted by April 30, 2025. Candidates that make the short list can be asked to participate in a virtual interview. By June 16, 2025, candidates will get notification regarding the status of their scholarship application.
