Details of the Margaret McNamara Educational Grant (MMEG):
The goal of Margaret McNamara Educational Grants is to improve the lives of women and children in developing nations by supporting women from these nations who are pursuing education.
One of the few groups that offers these ladies financial support is MMEG. Recipients of the Margaret McNamara Educational scholarship are encouraged to network with other grantees and tell other students about the scholarship.
Formal sciences, applied sciences, and social sciences are among the subjects in which the program assists students at the undergraduate, graduate, and certificate levels.
Margaret McNamara Scholarship 2025 Conditions:
Applicants for the Margaret McNamara Scholarship must meet the following qualifying criteria:
- be a self-identifying woman, and at least 25 years old at time of application deadline;
- be a national of a country listed on the MMEG Country Eligibility List (except for the Trinity Washington University program);
- be registered (not just accepted) at an accredited in-person academic institution when submitting their application;
- intend to graduate no later than three years following the award of the MMEG grant;
- intend to remain enrolled for at least one full academic semester (half-year term) following the award of the MMEG grant;
- have no family ties to any staff, spouse, retiree, or member of the MMEG Board of the World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, or Inter-American Development Bank.

The awards will be fully sponsored throughout the duration of the study.
Margaret McNamara Educational Grant (MMEG) Requirements
You must have each of the following documents in order to finish your application.
Application ineligibility, or the applicant’s automatic exclusion, will occur if the application is not completed and includes ALL necessary documents by the end of the application period.
Applications that are not complete will not be accepted.
Please scan these documents in digital format (preferably PDF, jpeg, or png) before beginning the MMEG application process:
- Identification (ID) card with photo:
- o (a) national passport page with photo and date of birth, if studying outside your home country, or
o (b) a government-issued identity card bearing one’s birthdate and photo;
o (c) the most recent official university transcripts and/or reports;
o (d) the most recent official university registration document (not an admission letter);
- If studying abroad, the visa or study permission page in the current passport; if dual citizenship, the second passport page with a clear photo.
At certain stages of the online application process, you will be required to upload certain documents. Additionally, you will include:
- A few succinct paragraphs outlining your background and how your education, experiences, and future goals relate to your dedication to women and children in developing nations;
- A projection of your financial status for the upcoming school year, taking into account living expenses, along with measures to meet financing requirements;
- If applicable, a synopsis of your thesis that covers its purpose, methods, conclusions, and connection to professional objectives.
It is necessary to have two letters of recommendation.
• A faculty member from your present university must serve as one referee. Someone who is not related to you might serve as the second referee and attest to your moral character. You must have been acquainted with at least one of the people for a minimum of two semesters.
•Kindly get in touch with two individuals you want a letter of recommendation from. Following their confirmation, you will be required to provide the email addresses of the two reference providers on the application form.
