Scholarships for Undergraduates:
- H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Scholarship: This award may cover all or a portion of tuition, contingent on the Scholarship Committee’s approval. As long as eligibility requirements are met, the scholarship is awarded for the first academic year and is maintained until graduation.
One academic year till graduation, tuition is waived for recipients of the Gebran Tueni Media Scholarship. Dorms and visa fees are also covered.
One academic year till graduation, tuition is waived for recipients of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication Scholarship.
The William Jefferson Clinton award at AUD: This award includes shared-room on-campus housing at The American University in Dubai as well as a one-semester (fall or spring) tuition waiver.
ICT Funds Scholarship for Undergraduate Admissions: This scholarship offers a monthly stipend in addition to a full tuition waiver for the two semesters leading up to graduation.
The Intilaq Scholarship from the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA): This scholarship includes full tuition waiver, a monthly allowance of AED 6,500 for the duration of study in accordance with the program schedule, medical insurance for the duration of study in accordance with the program schedule, and extra benefits of AED 1,500 for the student’s six-week summer work placement.

Conditions for Undergraduate Eligibility
Scholarship of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum:
• Candidates from high school should have a minimum grade average of 90% (or above). The inability to pay for educational fees will also be taken into account as evidence of financial need.
• All nationalities are welcome.
• All undergraduate programs are eligible.
The Gebran Tueni Media Scholarship qualifications are as follows: • Candidates must be Lebanese nationals with outstanding high school grades (required averages vary by school system; applicants may check with the AUD admissions office for relevant requirements).
- Present a portfolio of the applicant’s creative work, including articles, artwork, and other audiovisual materials;
- Attend a qualifying interview with an MBRSC Admissions Committee member.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication Scholarship requires that a high school student who wants to apply for the Arabic track of the B.C.I.S. degree program and major in either journalism or digital production and storytelling be an Arab national. A minimum grade average of 90% (or its equivalent) is required of high school applicants.

• Students who are citizens of the United StatesA student must be enrolled full-time in a recognized four-year American college or university as a candidate for an undergraduate degree.
• Students who express interest in seeing Middle Eastern and Islamic cultures for the first time will be given preference; applicants are expected to exhibit exceptional academic success.
Only UAE nationals are eligible to apply for the ICT Funds Scholarship for Undergraduate Admissions.
• AUD’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering programs require applications from new students.

• The applicant’s GPA must not be less than 2.5 and his high school certificate average must not be less than 80%.
• The candidate must pass both the written exams and the in-person interview.
• After earning a bachelor’s degree within the predetermined time frame, the applicant will commit to working for DEWA.
• The applicant must be in good health.
• The applicant must behave well.
AUD Senior Scholarship requirements are as follows:
• Have attained “senior status” in their degree program, meaning they have finished all but 30–32 credit hours;
• Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5;
• Have not broken any Conduct Code rules.
Master’s Level Eligibility Standards
Alumni of AUD who are accepted into any of the graduate programs are eligible for the AUD Alumni Tuition Waiver.
The tuition waiver offered by the AUD School of Education requires that applicants be accepted into the program of their choice.
