The 2025–2026 Prince of Songkla University (PSU) PhD Scholarships are completely sponsored for students from abroad. These scholarships will pay for the monthly stipend (currently 10,000 Baht), which covers living and housing costs, tuition, and health and accident insurance coverage while the student is in Thailand (90 US dollars).

Scholarship Reports
PhD scholarships at Prince of Songkla University will pay for
- The allowance that pays for housing and living expenses each month, which is 10,000 Baht at the moment.
- The cost of tuition.
- Travel expenses (no more than 15,000 Baht, or around 450 US dollars) to and from the home country at the start and finish of the scholarship term, respectively.
- Health and accident insurance coverage for the duration of the scholarship in Thailand (90 US dollars).
Qualifications for PhD Scholarships at Prince of Songkla University
The following conditions must be met in order for an applicant to be eligible for Prince of Songkla University PhD Scholarships:
English is the required language.
All nations in the world are eligible.
Students from abroad who have a strong academic record and research background.
New graduate students who plan to start their studies at PS in semesters one or two are the only ones eligible.
The candidate must not have received another scholarship that includes living expenses during the same time period;
The topic in which the prior degree was earned must meet and satisfy the standards of the program’s curriculum.
The candidate needs to pass the following officially approved English language exam:
A CU or PSU-TEP score of 60A minimum score of 60 on the TEP, a minimum score of 500 on the TOEFL (paper-based), a minimum score of 46 on the revised paper-delivered test, a minimum score of 520 on the institutional testing program, a minimum score of 173 on the computer-based test, or a minimum score of 61 on the internet-5.0 IELTS score.
• The scholar needs to have a non-immigrant “ED visa” (Study Permit) and be enrolled full-time. The scholar may have their scholarship revoked if they enter Thailand on a tourist visa and are unable to enroll.
• The researcher must diligently study and carry out the research thesis.
Every six months, the scholar is required to update the dentistry faculty on the status of his or her studies.
• In the third semester, the scholar needs to pass the proposal exam.
• The researcher needs to put effort into studying and carrying out the research thesis.
• The scholar must complete the requirements of each graduate degree and publish his or her dissertation at least twice in respectable, peer-reviewed international journals that are indexed in Web of Science (with an ISI impact factor) in order to meet the scholarship requirements.
Scholars who are accepted into a specific program of study are expected to finish it within the allotted period and are not permitted to transfer to another program.
Other conditions set by the Faculty of Dentistry apply. The committee of each graduate program must notify the Faculty of Dentistry to cancel a scholarship if the scholar has not made any progress on his or her studies or thesis for valid reasons.
How Can I Apply for a PhD Scholarship at Prince of Songkla University?
To apply for this scholarship, please adhere to the guidelines below:
(1) Fill out your personal information by opening the form.
(2) After uploading the necessary files, submit the application:
• A copy of a certificate of English proficiency that is good for two years.
• CV, or curriculum vitae.
• A certified transcript of records, including grades and grade point average in English, for both bachelor’s and master’s degree studies.
• The purpose statement (about 800 words).
• The first page of papers that have been published.
• A description or plan of the research.
• A duplicate of the passport’s primary page.
• An English-language medical certificate.
Note: The total application amount is 640 baht, which includes an admission fee of 600 baht and a PayPal service charge of 40 baht.
• The 2C2P service fee is 20 baht, out of the 620 baht total application amount.
