The GSK fellowship is available to candidates for any of the intense, non-distance learning master’s programs provided by LSHTM (with the exception of our partnership programs, which include the MSc Global Mental Health, MSc Health Policy, Planning & Financing, MSc One Health, and MSc Veterinary Epidemiology).
Applicants who plan to enroll in a full-time, one-year, in-person MSc program at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) are eligible for these scholarships.
According to the scholarship advertisement, both the study and scholarship applications must be submitted by the deadline. By the scholarship deadline, applicants should make sure that they have uploaded all required supporting documentation through LSHTM’s Admissions Portal.
Qualifications for the London School of Hygiene Scholarship in 2025
Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for the London School of Hygiene Scholarship:
- be citizens of or residents of sub-Saharan African countries;
- intend to return to sub-Saharan Africa after completing their MSc year at LSHTM;
- confirm, via the Scholarships Application Form, that they would not otherwise be able to pay for the proposed program of study;
- meet LSHTM’s minimum English language requirements;
- hold a first degree at the first or upper second class equivalency level; and
- have an offer of admission for 2024–25 for one of LSHTM’s intensive MSc programme of study
The 2025 GSK Scholarship’s advantages
The scholarship will pay for tuition, including any required field trip costs, as well as a GBP 22,000.00 tax-free stipend, or living allowance.
Step-by-Step Instructions for Applying for the GSK Scholarship
There are two steps in the GSK Scholarship application procedure. In order to be eligible for the financing, candidates need to fulfill both of the following requirements:
- Step 1: Apply for a London-based MSc program of study for 2025–2026 by following the guidelines found on the relevant program of study page’s “How to Apply” tab.
Step 2
o In the “FUNDING DETAILS” section of your application, you should choose the scholarships you are applying for. You will not be eligible for this award if you do not choose the GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders on your application.
o Enclose a Scholarships Application Form with your Step 1 study application. This application requires the uploading of a completed Scholarships Application Form. Since applicants should have previously included references, transcripts, a CV, and other materials with their study application, this is the only scholarship attachment needed.
