Scholarship Reports

Scholarships from the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung will pay for the following:

  • Master’s or postgraduate graduates are awarded a €850 monthly scholarship.
  • A scholarship of €1,200 per month is awarded to PhD candidates.
  • Up to €120 in monthly health insurance subsidies are provided by the scholarship.
  • The scholarship provides a family allowance of € 276 as long as you and your spouse reside in the same residence in Germany for a minimum of three months and his or her monthly income does not surpass € 450.
  • You may receive a refund of up to €1,500 per semester for costs associated with university courses in Germany that are directly relevant to your study.

 

Qualifications for the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarship

In order to qualify for the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung scholarship, applicants need to meet the following criteria:
German and English are the required languages. possess a strong command of the German language (B2-level),

How Can I Apply for a Scholarship from the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung?

To apply for a scholarship from the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, please complete these steps:
We accept applications for our scholarship program in two ways:

1) We choose new focal nations or regions for our selection processes every year. Interviews will be done online in 2021, with a concentration on Latin America, Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey (all managed through our Peru office). If you reside in one of these nations, you can submit your written application straight to the relevant KAS office; please visit their websites to find out the precise process and recipient. Students from non-listed countries are not eligible to apply for the 2021 international selection process.

2) You are invited to use our online application process to apply for a scholarship through the domestic selection program if you currently reside or study in Germany. Please upload all necessary application documents and complete the online application. Documents submitted by mail will not be taken into consideration, therefore please avoid doing so. Every year on July 15th at 12:00/noon, the domestic procedure’s application period closes.

The following documents are attached:

  • Include information about your prior volunteer work or social commitments in a meaningful, tabular CV.

A letter of motivation.

  • If the originals are not in English, copies of your exam certificates in German language.
  • Copies of your academic records, if you have been enrolled at a German university.
  • Evidence of proficiency in German (B 2).
  • An unofficial recommendation letter from an academic institution: This letter, which should not be more than two months old, should include details about your academic background and prospects. The author must be a doctorate-holding university professor or instructor.
  • An casual recommendation letter on the applicant’s character: This letter should highlight your hobbies and personality, as well as your knowledge of values and social commitment. The academic letter of recommendation cannot be provided by the same author.
    • Your German university’s certificate of matriculation or admission.

 

When submitting an application for a PhD scholarship, please include the following files

• A thorough synopsis of your PhD thesis: The main research issue of your proposed project, its scientific significance, your theoretical approach, and the reasons behind your choice of study topic should all be covered in this exposé, which should be five to ten pages long, written in either German or English, with a font size of twelve and a line spacing of 1.5. A bibliography and a work and time schedule should also be included.

• An additional academic recommendation letter: If you already have a supervisor for your PhD thesis, they should write this second letter. It takes the place of the recommendation letter regarding the applicant’s character.

• Verification that your mother, father, or doctor is supervising you
