Qualifications for the KAUST Scholarship
The candidate must meet each of the standards listed below in order to be eligible for the KAUST Scholarship:
• English is one of the required languages (a score of 6.5 on the IELTS or 79 on the TOEFL IBT).
• All nations in the world are eligible.
• Candidates must fulfill all prerequisites for admission to the Master’s or Ph.D. program; while a GRE is not required, having one will be advantageous.
How Can I Apply for a Scholarship at KAUST?
To be eligible for this scholarship, please take the following actions:

(2) Use the KAUST online application tool to upload the following files:
Official university transcripts: From each previous institution, you must provide an official, comprehensive transcript, mark sheets, graduation certificate, and academic record. The certified English translation and a scan of the university’s official transcript in the original language must be uploaded to the online application. The university’s grading system must appear on your transcript for every document you submit. An official final transcript must be provided in a sealed envelope to the Office of Admissions before arrival (during the onboarding process) if admission is offered.
• CV, or curriculum vitae: Along with your application, you should include a synopsis of your research and work experience as well as any other pertinent data. Please attach abstracts of any articles you may have on your resume.
A 750-word (roughly) statement of purpose that covers your prior work, preparation for the field of study, pertinent background and interests, academic plans, and career goals. Please explain why you are applying to the specific KAUST program that you are trying to get into.
• Three recommendation letters: Three recommendation letters must be filed on your behalf. Recommendation letters are crucial and ought to be produced by instructors or advisors who have taught you or conducted research in your major.
Letters of recommendation should be sent straight from the recommender via the application. In addition to comparison statements (e.g., top 1% of class, best in the last five years, etc.) and information about your research skills, recommenders should explain how they know your work.
• The result of the English language test:
• IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6.5, with each section scoring at least 5.5.
• The KAUST Admissions number is 4107; the TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test) score is 79 overall, with at least 17 in each component.
• Academic score on the Pearson Test of English (PTE): 62 overall, with at least 59 in each section.
A degree from an approved university in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand does not require an English score.
• Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): 176 overall, with at least 169 in each individual section.
• Graduate Record Examination: Although KAUST does not require the GRE exam for admission, if you have taken it, you are free to submit your results. The GRE Code 4139 can be used to send official test results straight to KAUST Admissions.
