2025 Global Korea Scholarships (GKS) For International Students | Fully Funded

For overseas students who want to study for advanced master’s and doctoral degrees in Korea, the Korean government plans to provide fully financed Global Korea Scholarships by 2025.

The 2025 Global Korea Scholarship aims to build global leaders, enhance Korea-friendly networks around the world, and give overseas students the chance to pursue advanced studies at Korean higher education institutions.

For each chosen applicant, Global Korea Scholarships (GKS) will pay for tuition, a monthly living stipend of 900,000, airfare, and lodging.

Details of the 2025 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS):

The Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) is an annual program that provides international students with the chance to pursue Bachelor, Master’s, and PhD degrees at Korean universities.

The Korean Government’s Global Korea Scholarship program intends to award full scholarships to international students from 156 countries in 2025, supporting both undergraduate and graduate studies in Korea.

Applicants can apply for the GKS through the University or Embassy tracks; 280 international students will be admitted to the University track, and 87 students will be accepted into the Embassy track.

2025 Global Korea Scholarship Requirements:

To be eligible for the Korean Government Scholarship, the requirements are as follows:

Citizenship

Candidates and their parents must hold non-Korean citizenship.

Age

KGSP-G: under 40

KGSP-U: under 25

Health

Candidates must be physically and mentally healthy for their studies in Korea.

Degree Requirements

KGSP-G: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

KGSP-U: High school diploma

Grades

The cumulative grade point average (CGPA) must be 80% or higher; or

The CGPA must be 2.64/ 4.0, 2.80/ 4.3, 2.91/ 4.5, or 3.23/ 5.0 or higher.
