2025 Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarships (Funded in Full)

The 2025–2026 Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation Scholarship has full funding. This grant is available for study in Germany at the undergraduate and graduate levels. A monthly basic salary of up to EUR 850, health insurance costs, and, if applicable, family and baby allowances will all be covered by this scholarship.
Up to 40 exceptional students will get this prize, which comes with a thorough seminar program designed to improve the applicants’ intellectual and social skills. • PhD students: Anytime after the fourth semester or after physics until the conclusion of the sixth semester.
Scholarship Reports
Recipients of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Scholarships have the following advantages:
• A monthly stipend of EUR 750 for students enrolled in state examination, bachelor’s, diploma, or master’s programs
• A EUR 850 monthly stipend for a master’s program.
• The scholarship is non-repayable; scholars with children receive a family stipend of EUR 276; and health insurance costs are covered.
Qualifications for Scholarships from the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung
The following requirements must be fulfilled by candidates in order to be eligible for Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Scholarships:
• German and English are required languages.
• Countries Eligible: Talented students from Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America
• The personality and skills of the candidates indicate great potential for a future in academia or the workplace.
• Enrollment or admission to a German state-run or state-recognized higher education institution
• Despite the fact that the classes are taught in English, there is adequate understanding of German. This entails a “Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang” of at least DSH level 2, a “Deutsch als Fremdsprache” test of at least level 4, or a Goethe Institute “Zertifikat C 1.” Canidates are expected to show commitment to the values of social democracy.

To be eligible for this scholarship, please adhere to the following application guidelines:
(1) Just complete our application online. No additional paperwork is needed; we will ask you a few questions about your family and work history. (2) If you qualify for a scholarship, we will send you an email requesting more documentation, including two expert reports from university instructors, details about your prior coursework, and your sociopolitical commitment. In their first semester of college, first-year students (not master’s students) turn in two reports from previous instructors.
After we request the documents, you have three weeks to upload them. Six weeks for the reports, if required following our consultation. While you wait for our response, we suggest that you compile the documents.

(3) We would also like to meet you in person if you make the short list. We would want to interview you with a member of our selection committee as well as a reputable lecturer from your department. (4) The ultimate decision on admission to one of our programs is made by the selection committee. The committee convenes multiple times annually.
