2025 Ampère Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Students | France

International students who wish to enroll in one of the qualified master’s programs provided by ENS de Lyon are eligible to apply for the Ampère Scholarships of Excellence 2025–2026, which are fully financed master’s scholarships. This scholarship is worth 1,000 euros a month.
Excellent international students can apply for scholarships from the ENS de Lyon and its partners to participate in its master’s programs in the arts, human sciences, social sciences, and exact sciences (with the exception of FEADép Master’s programs). Outstanding overseas students have the chance to enroll in one of the qualified Masters programs at ENS de Lyon through the Ampère Scholarships of Excellence.

Scholarship Reports
The following advantages are offered to the recipient of an Ampère Scholarship of Excellence:
• All Master’s programs in the arts, human and social sciences, and exact sciences (apart from FEADéP Master’s programs) are eligible; approximately 20 scholarships are awarded year. Refer to the Ampère scholarship rules (document on the right).
• Monthly payment: €1,000 for a full academic year (subject to renewal).
Qualifications for Ampère Scholarships of Excellence
The applicant must meet each of the standards listed below in order to be eligible for Ampère Scholarships of Excellence:
English is one of the required languages.
• All nations in the world are eligible.
Applicants who qualify:
• Candidates must be foreign nationals born on or after January 1, 1998, with a maximum age of 26.
• In order to be admitted to a master’s program, candidates must demonstrate that they have earned a license, which is equal to 180 European credits, or a comparable degree.
• To be admitted to Masters Year 2, candidates must demonstrate that they have earned an equivalent diploma or level or that they have successfully completed Masters Year 1 level, which is equivalent to 240 ECTS European credits.
How Do I Apply for the Ampère Excellence Scholarships?
To apply for this scholarship, please adhere to the guidelines below:
1. Fill up the online application and send it in.
• After the deadline, applications won’t be taken into consideration.
• Email-submitted applications will not be taken into consideration.
• Students are responsible for ensuring that all needed documents have been uploaded; incomplete applications will not be evaluated.
2. Application review: The ENS de Lyon admissions committee examines each and every application. Results will not be provided over the phone.
3. Admissions and enrollment: Upon acceptance of your application, you will get a pre-enrollment letter outlining the necessary procedures.
